I started posting VTV in 2011 and I am really proud of the body of work. Recently I’ve found myself struggling creatively and I told myself I would stop if the comic ever began to feel like work. I’ve decided to put the comic on hold and explore other outlets of creativity. I hope to return to the comic soon but I won’t if my heart isn’t into it. Thank you all so much for supporting the comic.
Jon Esparza is the CRAZY mind behind Bubble Fox, Mushrooms comics and a “soon to be announced” comic will be revealed in January 2015! Jon came up with the idea to have a crazy cartoon experiment where he would come up with a general theme and invite fellow artists to create a piece of work to coincide with the theme. His latest installment (which I may have helped inspire) involves characters transformed into enormous parade balloons! Below you’ll find my submission, but PLEASE do yourself a favor and visit his site to see the rest here.
As a wonderful surprise, I noticed a familiar face the submissions from Jason Platt. He draws the delightful comic “Mister and Me”. Please check it out here.
Rich Clabaugh is the enormously talented creator of “The Graveyard Gang” comic! He’s been creating a new monster face every day this month and when he asked if Sunny could join the ranks I was thrilled! You can find his work here. Thanks, Rich!
I was nominated to do this challenge by Mark Stokes and was happy to step up to help raise awareness for this worthy cause. ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a noncontagious, degenerative disease that affects the brain and spinal cord. A chronic disorder, it causes a loss of control of voluntary muscles, also affecting the nerves that control speech, swallowing, and limb movements. A cure has not yet been found. You can find out more at the ALS website.
I created this in memory of my late grandpa, Ralph Crawford, who was a victim of this disease.
The first Vinnie the Vampire comic collection is available through Create Space! It is full color, with the exception of my original black and white comics. It contains my first two years of strips, that’s over two hundred comics, and has seventy eight pages. The title is “Let the Bloodbath Begin”! A special thanks goes out to Mark Stokes for writing the epic foreward to the book. Check out his great comic at www.zombieboycomics.com. Below you’ll find the full cover design (click on the image for an enlarged view). I hope you add it to your coffee table or book shelf! You can find it at this link: https://www.createspace.com/4900771 Thanks for your support!
